If you are successfully granted with UK immigration Tier 4 visa then you can be able to enter the United Kingdom for study in UK institutes. However, while working as an international student in the United Kingdom, the UK government will bound you with certain terms and conditions to work in student visa.
Working conditions of Tier 4 Student Visa
i. If you are university or higher degree student then UK government allows you to work maximum 20 hours per week. Similarly, you can work up to 10 hours a week if you are enrolled in language centers or primary level courses.
ii. Following, both university as well as lower academy students can engage in maximum hours of work during the recognized holidays and vacations.
iii. Likewise, you are allowed to undertake any placements and internships as a part of your academic program. In addition to that, you can work as postgraduate doctor or dentist on a recognized foundation program.
iv. Moreover, you can also work as a student union sabbatical officer for 2 years.
National Insurance Number
In the first place, you will need to have ‘National Insurance Number’ to work in United Kingdom. You must apply for National Insurance Number if you do not have one. In some cases, students have National Insurance Number printed on the back of their Biometric Residence Permit (BPR). You no longer required need to apply if you already have it on your BPR.
