Job Duties:
- Perform regular accessibility audits of official CES websites and web applications.
- Also, perform accessibility evaluations for websites and applications under consideration for purchase and deployment.
- Work with IT staff to implement and evaluate accessibility features for web applications and software.
- Likewise, evaluate accessibility of external platforms that host institutional content, such as YouTube.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend assistive software and hardware for testing or for employee use.
- Additionally, establish guidelines, best practices and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites, IT software systems and online materials.
- Furthermore, work with social media manager to stay abreast of the latest in social media accessibility best practices; advise on social media accessibility best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, web design, education, information systems, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to speak & write clearly & communicate ideas.
- Also, ability to create training materials and video tutorials.
- Similarly, skill to organize, plan, & prioritize work.
- Knowledge of the latest accessibility laws and regulations.
- Additionally, ability to attend to details while simultaneously handling multiple projects.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, & apply relevant accessibility regulations, policies, & procedures.
