University of Queensland International Scholarships 2020 in Australia

The applications are open for the University of Queensland International Scholarships 2020. Interested candidates can apply until 30 Jun 2020. The University is offering the scholarship for Bachelor’s and Masters’s degrees in the field of  Agriculture, Environment, Architecture and Planning, Science, Mathematics.

Outstanding international students in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs in Science will receive the Science International Scholarship 2020.

Eligibility

The candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the University of Queensland International Scholarships

  • They must be an international student in Australia.
  • Also, by the scholarship closing date, they should submit all documentation to meet conditions associated with an offer from UQ for an approved program.
  • Additionally, they must demonstrate strong academic performance as part of the UQ program application.
  • Similarly, the candidates must be enrolling in a program administered by the UQ Faculty of Science
  • The program must be of more than one year’s duration.
  • Furthermore, they should be enrolling in their first semester of study at UQ.

Selection Process

The applicants must be selected by the following process

  • The Faculty of Science Associate Dean will select scholarship recipients.
  • The selection will be based on the selection criteria.
  • Wherever possible, UQ will notify applicants of the outcome of their application within four weeks of the scholarship closing date.
  • Additionally, the decision of the Associate Dean is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Moreover, the applicants cannot postpone the scholarship

Value of the Scholarship

  • The value of this scholarship is Partial Funding, USD 3,000

Selection Criteria

The selection panel will select the applicants on the following basis

  • Academic performance
  • Capacity to create change and contribute to science. It is based on the personal statement submitted as part of the Science International Scholarship application.
  • UQ values diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from those who bring diversity to the university.
  • Additionally, the Faculty of Science also wishes to encourage gender balance in its admissions.
