The Government of Ireland through the Department of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the Ireland Fellows Program-Africa Scholarship 2022/23 for eligible young Africans.
Also, the program is for young professionals in their early to mid-career path with leadership potentials to benefit from a prestigious, world-class, quality education contributing to capacity building.
Summary:
The scholarship offers selected students the opportunity to undertake a fully funded one-year master’s level programme at a higher education institution (HEI) in Ireland. The award covers programme fees, flights, accommodation and living costs. The programme seeks to nurture future leaders, to develop in-country capacity to achieve national SDG goals; and to build positive relationships with Ireland.
Eligibility Criteria
To be in for Fully Funded Scholarships in Ireland 2022/23, applicants must meet the following requirements
- Have a minimum of two- or three-years’ work experience that is directly relevant to your proposed program of study, depending on the country (see the Guidance Note for Applicants).
- Not already hold a qualification at master’s level or higher. Not currently undertaking a program at master’s level or higher or be due to start a program at master’s level or higher in the academic year 2021/22.
- Likewise, be applying to commence a new program at master’s level in Ireland no sooner than August 2021.
- Furthermore, be able to demonstrate the following: leadership abilities and aspirations; a commitment to the achievement of the SDGs within your own country; and a commitment to contribute to building positive relationships with Ireland.
- Similarly, have identified and selected three programs relevant to your academic and professional background from the Directory of Eligible Programs.
- Have a clear understanding of the academic and English language proficiency required for all programs chosen.
- Moreover, must not have applied to the Ireland Fellows Program on more than one previous occasion.
- Furthermore, be in a position to take up the Fellowship in the academic year 2022/2023.
