Having the moral of “Her foundations are upon the holy hills”, Durham University is one of the oldest universities in England. Founded in 1832, the university is a public collegiate research university. It was one of the first universities to commence tuition in England for more than 600 years, after Oxford and Cambridge. Also, it is one of the institutions known as the third-oldest university in England. Moreover, the university currently is in 74th position globally in QS World University Rankings.
