Fordham University’s Office of Admission offers a number of merit-based scholarships. A list of these awards is below. In addition, the Office of Financial Services may award other merit and/or need-based awards depending on a student’s eligibility. Merit Based Scholarships

All candidates for admission will be considered for the following scholarships. The student’s application for admission is also the application for major merit-based scholarships at Fordham.

Cunniffe Presidential Scholarship: Award covering full tuition, room, board, and fees, renewable for four years. Awarded to the top admitted students each year (typically within the top 1% of the admitted pool). Cunniffe Presidential Scholars are generally ranked in the top 1–2% of their high school class and demonstrate excellent academic achievement in high school, test scores, and personal characteristics. April 1 notification.

Semifinalist Scholarship: Full-tuition award renewable for four years. Recipients are finalists or semifinalists in the National Merit or National Hispanic Recognition Scholarship Programs who possess a solid A average and are in the top 2–3% of all admitted students. Notification is made at the time of admission.

Dean’s Scholarship: Awards begin at $15,000 and increase based on a student’s financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA and/or CSS Profile. Typically, recipients are among the top 10% of all admitted students, have earned an A average in a competitive curriculum, and have scored above 1460 (New SAT) or 32 (ACT Composite). Notification is made at the time of admission.

Other Scholarships: We also offer a range of additional scholarships that are based on merit and/or need. Scholarship awards and amounts vary based on specified criteria.

The Maguire Scholars Higher Education Program

Fordham University participates in the Maguire Scholars Program. The scholarship is available to incoming freshmen who are graduates of specific Pennsylvania high schools. Fordham will select recipients based on the student’s financial need, academic merit and participation in school and/or community-based extracurricular activities. To be considered for the Maguire Scholars Program, please review the high school list to confirm your school is eligible and complete the Maguire Scholars Higher Education Program Application. In addition, each applicant must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 10, 2019. Please make sure Fordham University’s school code (002722) is listed on your FAFSA.
