Catch A Break! Scholarship. Kaleidoscope Group PBC is giving away $44000 as a funding for Catch A Break! Scholarships for the year 2021. The program was established to assist highly motivated Minnesota residents who have faced challenges in life and learned from them, and are now enrolling for the first time in post-secondary education. Renewable Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited public four-year college or university in Minnesota for the entire academic year.

The last date to apply for the scholarship is 31st March 2021.

Eligibility for Kaleidoscope Group Scholarships 2021

Applicants must be able to meet the following requirements

  • have faced challenges in your life and learned from them
  • Also, are highly motivated and know why you want a college education
  • Likewise, are a US Citizen and a MN resident
  • You have been admitted to a 4-year public (not private) college or university in Minnesota
  • Also, your composite ACT score is 24 or higher
  • Additionally, you will be 21 years of age or younger when admitted as a freshman
  • Also, your family’s household income shows significant financial stress/challenges in paying for your college education. Award amount determined after consideration of all sources of financial aid

Benefits

Students can receive up to $11,000 per year for four years, a total of $44,000.

Award Winner Requirements

Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory academic performance of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the freshman year

Additionally, after the first year, students must achieve either a 3.0 GPA each semester or maintain a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a full-time undergraduate course of study

Also, a school change may result in an award adjustment or forfeiture

Moreover, recipients must meet with a Catch a Break! mentor at least four times a year, each year they receive the award; recipients must also participate in group Catch a Break! meetings at least twice a year

Also, recipients of the scholarship cannot work during their freshman year of college and must live on campus
