Fully Funded Scholarships are available for international students also at Queen’s University Belfast.

Queen’s University Belfast is a public research university in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The university offers academic degrees at various levels and across a broad subject range, with over 300 degree programmes available. Moreover, the university is a member of the Russell Group of leading research intensive universities. Furthermore, the university has affiliations with two Nobel laureates and one Turing Award laureate. Above all, the university is in 180th position in the QS World University Rankings 2019.

Queen’s University Belfast offers a range of scholarships to its degree-seeking students. The scholarships at the university depends upon a student’s academic merit, financial need as well as athletic abilities. The university provides a number of scholarships whose value ranges from few thousands to full tuition. One of the highest-awarding scholarship for international students attending the university is the Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship. Two full fee  scholarships are available to exceptionally talented international students who will be starting their full-time undergraduate studies at Queen’s University Belfast.

Award Value

Full tuition fees paid for all years of a programme, up to a maximum of four years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must firmly accept an offer for a place on a full-time undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2019-20 and have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter
  • Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to get considerations for this discount.
  • The scholarship is awarded each year for up to a maximum of four years and is deducted annually from gross tuition fees upon enrolment.
  • Students must register on their degree programme by the start date outlined in their offer.
  • Scholarships are non-deferrable to the following academic year.
  • Students must be self-funded.
  • Likewise, Students in receipt of full funding from external sponsorship bodies will not be eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship.
  • The following programmes are not eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship – Undergraduate:
  1. Undergraduate: Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Theology
  2. ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
