Qatar University is offering the fully funded scholarship to students from all over the world for its academic session of 2020. Moreover, the university extends this scholarship to the first-year undergraduate students living within Qatar as well as international students. Further, this scholarship is available for the current students in the university. Respective embassies may nominate the students for the scholarship or they may directly apply to Qatar University. Nominated students may receive these scholarships during the Fall semester and the Spring semester of the same academic year, though they may transfer the scholarship to the next academic year. There are two types of these scholarships which are internal and external Scholarships.
Fully Funded Qatar University Scholarship
The recipient of the fully funded scholarship at Qatar university receives the cost of tuition fees. Further, the student also enjoys other benefits of the scholarship which includes: the cost of textbooks fees as well as free accommodation in university dormitories. Also, international students receive a yearly airfare ticket to the home country of the student.
Eligibility for the Qatar University Scholarship
Students both, domestic and international are eligible for the 2020 Qatar University Scholarship under the criteria of internal and external students. Qatar university grants its students a fully funded scholarship if they meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must meet the admission requirements for the college and major that they applied to. In addition, submitting the final, official high school transcript for newly admitted applicants.
- The recipients may not defer the scholarship to the next semester; otherwise, the scholarship will be canceled in that semester.
Moreover, Qatar University may continue the scholarship should the student meet its continuation requirements:
- Students must meet academic scholarships terms and conditions in order to maintain the scholarship.
How to apply for Qatar University Scholarship?
New students who would like to apply to Qatar University can apply for a scholarship through the Admission Application System. After creating the New User account at the admission application, you will use the login ID and PIN to login into the system in order to apply for admission application and scholarship application.
Students can, then, select the type of scholarship and submit the application. However, students must note that they must meet the eligibility requirement as well as provide all necessary documentation.
Deadline
Qatar University accepts the 2020 Fully Funded Scholarship application until 5 November 2019. Applications arriving after the deadline are neither eligible for admission nor for the scholarship.
