Also, the Medical Services Assistant performs administrative and clinical tasks as assigned to support effective and efficient office operations.
Duties
Among the key duties of this position are the following for Vacancy for Medical Services Assistant in the USA:
- Implements patient experience techniques in all patient interactions, in-person, telephone and telehealth visits.
- Also, advises patients regarding preparation of necessary forms; counsels patients regarding paperwork requirements.
- Likewise, obtains pre-certification and /or prior authorization from insurance companies for patient management as assigned.
- Also, explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.
- Furthermore, be able to assist with patients who are medically complex and/or have sensitive medical or social issues.
- Moreover, documents all patient correspondence and correspondence with other pertinent health care providers.
- Additionally, assist in the treatment and examination of patient.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Also, the ability to function in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
- Likewise, completion of medical interpreter training course.
Special Conditions
- Able to travel to provide coverage at “off-site” practices as needed.
