Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh

Scholarships are available for international students also at the University of Edinburgh.

University of Edinburgh is a public university in Edinburgh, Scotland. With its establishment in 1582, the university is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities. Moreover, the university is the second most popular university in the UK by volume of applications. Furthermore, it has affiliations with 23 Nobel Prize winners, 2 Turing Award winners, 1 Abel Prize winner, 1 Fields Medal winner, 2 Pulitzer Prize winners. Also, it has alumni including 3 signatories of the American declaration of independence, 9 heads of state, 2 currently-sitting UK Supreme Court Justices, and several Olympic gold medallists. Above all, the university is in 18th position in the QS World University Rankings.

University of Edinburgh offers a number of scholarships to its incoming students. The scholarships depend upon the students’ academic merit, financial need, faculty as well as region. The scholarship instances include The University of Edinburgh Scholarship, University of Edinburgh Coca-Cola Scholarship, and more. There is also the The Richard Davidson Undergraduate International Scholarship for Agricultural Science. This scholarship is available for overseas students studying a full-time programme within The Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security in the 2019-2020 academic year. Moreover, it is competitive and is dependent on academic merit.

Award Value

The scholarship is worth £7,000 and is tenable for the duration of your degree programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals and residents of any country out with the UK and EU. Similarly, applicant should be liable for the overseas rate of tuition fee.   Also, applicants must have applied for any BSc Agricultural Sciences programme offered by the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security commencing in the 2019-2020 academic year.  Furthermore, applicants should have firmly accepted their offer of admission by the scholarship deadline of 19th April 2019.

BSc (Hons) Agricultural Science – Crop & Soil Science

BSc (Hons) Agricultural Science – Global Agriculture & Food Security
