Japan America Society of Minnesota (JASM) - Mondale Scholarships in US, 2020

Apply for the Mondale Scholarships in the US, 2020. The deadline for the scholarship is 1st June 2020. The scholarship is for Bachelors degree in any field( Japanese Culture Studies- Priority)

The Japan America Society of Minnesota (JASM) will award the Mondale Scholarship to undergraduate students enrolled in Minnesota colleges, University of North Dakota or North Dakota State University who want to broaden their knowledge of Japan through a combination of study and travel. Furthermore, the selection committee has the discretion to award up to $1,500 for the scholarship. Additionally, the awards are specifically to be used for travel to or within Japan before, during, or after the student’s specified term(s) of study for a time period of one month or more.

Eligibility for Mondale Scholarships in US

  • The scholarship is open to undergraduate students enrolled in Minnesota colleges and universities, University of North Dakota, or North Dakota State University.
  • Also, the organizers prefer candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Additionally, applicants who are keen to expand their knowledge of Japan through a combination of study and travel are welcome to apply.

Documents Required

  • Applicants must submit a completed application form.
  • Additionally, candidates need to submit their official academic transcripts.
  • Also, they must provide two letters of recommendation. 
  • Likewise, applicants must submit an essay addressing the questions mentioned in the application.
  • Moreover, they must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance from the program of study in Japan.

Value of Scholarship

  • The successful applicants of the scholarship will receive an award of up to USD 1,500.

Deadline 

  • The last date to apply for the scholarship is 1st June 2020.
