Sydney Scholars Awards in Australia is open for International Students. Additionally, the scholarship allows Undergraduate level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at the University of Sydney.

Sydney Scholars Awards in Australia is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at the University of Sydney.

Scholarship Benefits:

There are 2 Sydney Scholars Awards valued at $6000 per year, which are tenable for 1 to 5 years (including for combined undergraduate degrees):

  • $6000 per year for the duration of an undergraduate degree
  • Likewise, $6000 for 1 year of the undergraduate degree.

Furthermore, the University will pay the scholarship in 2 installments. To receive the second installment of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75. Additionally, applicants cannot extend or renew the Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must either be domestic students (which includes New Zealand citizens), or international students who have recently completed an International Baccalaureate (or educational award equivalent to the HSC), who are applying for admission through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Likewise, they must have an ATAR of 95 or above (if they are applying to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music or the Sydney Dental School they must receive an ATAR of 90 or above). Also, they have to be applying in the year that they complete their secondary education.

Furthermore, they should have excellent results in their NSW Higher School Certificate Examination or international equivalent. The University will award the Scholarship on the basis of academic merit, and a personal statement in support of scholarship application.

Also, the University is looking for all-round students who demonstrate leadership skills and involvement in school, community, and extracurricular activities.

Application Procedure:

The scholarship application deadline for Semester 1 2021 admission is 30 September 2020. When applying for the scholarship online, you must submit all supporting documents including a Personal Statement.
