Maastricht University is a public university in Maastricht, Netherlands. Founded in 1976, it is the second youngest of the thirteen Dutch universities.
In 2019, 19,000 students studied at Maastricht University, 54% of whom were foreign students, with over 4,000 employees. Also, about half of the bachelor’s programs are fully offered in English, while the other half is taught wholly or partly in Dutch. Most of the master’s and doctoral programs are in English. Likewise, besides traditional programs, Maastricht University also has an honors liberal arts college: University College Maastricht and a Maastricht Science Program in the same liberal arts tradition. Also, the satellite University College Venlo opened in 2015.
Scholarship Description:
China CSC Scholarships Maastricht University 2021-2025 is open for Chinese. Moreover, the scholarship allows PhD level programs in the field of Biotechnology, Life Sciences taught at Maastricht University.
In 2020, Maastricht University (UM) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed a five-year Cooperative Agreement. Within this framework, UM annually provides 30 high-quality research scholarships to qualified Master students from Chinese universities or research institutions. Beyond the 30 guaranteed spots, you’re of course welcome to apply through the CSC General Program as well.

China CSC Scholarships Maastricht University 2021-2025 is available to undertake PhD level programs at Maastricht University.

Scholarship Benefits:
- There is NO tuition fee for CSC students wishing to enter a PhD position at UM.
- Similarly, students within the Cooperative Program, and basically those within the General Program as well, will receive free accommodation for 12 months at UM housing facilities. This is the equivalent of a € 400 support per month but not a cash funding.
