At Scuola Holden they teach something called storytelling. Holden was born in Turin in 1994 and one of the five founders is Alessandro Baricco, current principal. Additionally, i is called this because the idea was to create a school from which Holden Caulfield would never be expelled and that name represented a commitment: even today we teach with methods, principles and rules that would be difficult to find elsewhere. Likewise, there are about 300 students in the main courses, and a thousand in the short courses. Furthermore, in the classroom, professionals of all kinds alternate: directors, writers, editors, journalists, screenwriters, TV writers. Scuola Holden awards two 5,000 euro scholarships to particularly deserving foreign students for each year of their course (10,000 for two years).
