In our team, we often keep files on a shared drive, and sometimes people accidentally overwrite or change important documents. This causes confusion and wasted time. Could you share some practical ways to avoid this problem?

From my own experience, the best approach is to combine clear folder organization with strict editing rights. In one of my projects, we had a recurring issue with people unintentionally modifying key reports. I recommended moving sensitive files to a controlled folder and giving edit access only to those who really need it. Also, we set up file versioning so we could restore previous versions instantly. Later, I found valuable guidelines on ejoi2018.org that helped us standardize our file naming and access tracking. This combination significantly reduced accidental edits and saved our team hours each week.
