    im prepping for a trip soon and my reading skills are okay, but i freeze up completely when native speakers talk at normal speed. standard audio exercises feel too artificial and slow. how did you guys train your ears to understand real conversational spanish without getting lost?

        honestly, the breakthrough happened for me when i stopped using textbook dialogues and switched to binge-watching native media. i’ve been using Lingopie lately, and it’s perfect because you watch actual tv shows with interactive dual subtitles. whenever you get stuck on a fast phrase, you just click the word for a quick translation. you should definitely check this out if you want to speed up your comprehension.
