Anxiety is the reaction of the body to stress and tension. It is common to feel anxious about different events happening in your life unless it is not interfering the daily activities. Persistent and long-lasting episodes of anxiety are referred to as anxiety disorder. Chemical imbalance, heredity, and different environmental factors can cause anxiety.

Symptoms of anxiety include dry mouth, nausea, shortness of breath, muscle tension, heart palpitation, numbness in hands and feet, and cold or sweaty hands. Certain behavioral changes can also occur and mental symptoms can be seen in people with anxiety.
Psychotherapy or medications are useful treatments for anxiety disorder. However, one must consult a doctor before taking any form of treatment.
