        Yeah, Syracuse University does provide scholarships based on merit. Here are some of them:

        Academic Merit Scholarships
        Total Worth: vary
        Eligibility: vary
        Requirement for maintenance: a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 and complete at least 12 credits per semester
        Separate application needed: No

        AmeriCorps Scholarships
        Total Worth: half of the tuition
        Eligibility: half of the tuition
        Separate application needed: Yes

        Syracuse University provides aids at an average of 38450 per student meeting 96% of students need. 100% of students with need receive financial aid at an average of 31030 need-based grant. They also provide other scholarships including Coronat Scholars and Junior Achievement Scholarship.
