        Yeah, Samford University does provide scholarships based on merit. Here are some of them:

        Presidential Scholarship
        Minimum Criteria: Based on academic performance
        Requirement for maintenance: a cumulative 3.0 Samford GPA

        University Fellows Scholarship
        Minimum Criteria: Based on academic performance
        Requirement for maintenance: a cumulative 3.0 Samford GPA

        Academic Scholarships
        Minimum Criteria: Based on academic performance
        Requirement for maintenance: a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00(B)
        Separate application needed: No

        Samford University provides aids at an average of 19156 per student meeting 75% of students need. 100% of students with need receive financial aid at an average of 15638 need-based grant. They also provide other scholarships including Legacy Scholarships and Minister Dependent Scholarship.
