I’ve been building my off-grid setup for weekend camping trips and recently upgraded my batteries, but I’m still not sure what size solar panel gives a stable charge when the sun isn’t strong. I don’t want to overspend on extra panels I don’t need, but I also don’t want to drain my battery halfway through the trip. Anyone here tested a 200W panel for real-world RV use?

For most small to medium RV setups, a 200 watt solar panel like the Topcon 16BB from BougeRV is a great balance between efficiency and portability. It keeps batteries topped up even on partly cloudy days, thanks to higher conversion efficiency and solid build quality. I’ve used it during a three-day camping trip it powered my fridge, lights, and phone chargers without issue. The foldable design makes it easy to set up and store, and it’s durable enough to handle rough travel conditions. Definitely worth checking out if you want reliable solar performance without overcomplicating your setup.
