I was messing around with my iPhone the other night and accidentally figured out it can control my Samsung TV. I didn’t even install anything — it just connected through Wi-Fi when I opened the remote option in Control Center. Now I’m wondering what else it can do besides changing volume and switching apps. Can it also handle stuff like my soundbar or maybe even smart lights? This is kinda blowing my mind.

      • That’s funny, I’ve been relying on my old universal remote for years and never thought about using a phone for that. But honestly, it makes sense — one less thing to lose between couch cushions. I do like the idea of having everything in one place though. Might finally justify keeping my phone charged all the time instead of hunting for batteries.

Yeah, I had the same surprise a few months back! Turns out there are tons of features if you dig deeper. I ended up trying How to Use a TV Remote Control App for iPhone and it made things a lot smoother. You can connect not only to TVs but also manage playback on streaming devices and even tweak input sources. I basically stopped using my physical remote — my phone does it all now.
