Overview

The University of Stirling is a public university in Stirling , Scotland founded by Royal charter in 1967. It is located in the Central Belt of Scotland, built within the walled Airthrey Castle estate. In August 2016, the university reorganised into four faculties, the Stirling Management School and the Stirling Graduate School.

The university campus is approximately 360 acres (145 hectares) in size, incorporating the Stirling University Innovation Park and the Dementia Centre.

As of 2022, the university has 14,000 part-time and full-time students. Stirling has international degree programme partnerships in China with Hebei Normal University, Singapore with Singapore Institute of Management, and Oman. The university offers a MSc in Human Rights & Diplomacy, which is the only Human Rights and Diplomacy programme in the world taught in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
Total Worth £1,000 cash award per year
Eligibility and Requirements You must be classed as a student from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland for tuition fee purposes. You should hold a minimum of AAB at A-level or equivalent. This scholarship is only available to students studying full-time at our Stirling campus. You must take up your place and enrol on your course at the University.

Other Details Students starting in September 2024 or January 2025 who receive this scholarship are also eligible for the Stirling Welcome Scholarship, which is a £1,000 cash award in Year 1 allocated to all students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Eligibility and Requirements You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an eligible undergraduate course at the University of Stirling starting in September 2024 or January 2025. You must be classed as an International student for tuition fee purposes. You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an eligible undergraduate course at the University of Stirling. Students who successfully progress from any qualifying pathway programme delivered at INTO Stirling onto a University of Stirling undergraduate course are also eligible. You must be a full-time international student. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other University of Stirling scholarship.

Other Details International Undergraduate Scholarship offers eligible students £2,000 per year (£8,000 over four years) towards the payment of annual fees. If you are eligible for this award, your annual fee payments will automatically be reduced by £2,000.
