The University of Notre Dame Australia (est. 1989) is a private national Catholic university with Campuses in Fremantle and Broome in Western Australia, and Sydney in New South Wales. The University also has seven clinical schools as part of its School of Medicine located across Sydney, Melbourne, and in regional NSW and Victoria.

Undergraduate studies at Notre Dame provide students with an excellent standard of training for their profession of choice within the context of Catholic faith and values. Students can choose a program based on different study areas such as arts and sciences, business, education, health sciences, nursing and midwifery, philosophy and theology and physiotherapy. They may also study a double degree.

The basic entry requirement for admission in Notre Dame is an ATAR ranking. For students who do not have an adequate ATAR or have not studied for a few years, Notre Dame’s alternative entry pathways may be able to help them. Aside from all these, the university also offers study abroad and overseas internship programs for undergraduate students.

The University of Notre Dame understands that overseas students are an integral part of the student community thus they prepared effective support services for them. To ensure that international students come prepared to Australia, the university provides pre-departure guidance discussing how to obtain a student visa, important documents to bring and the quarantine guide. Notre Dame also provides assistance in finding temporary accommodation for students.

After arriving in Australia, the university helps students find a permanent home. Accommodation options include shared accommodation, renting or leasing and homestays/full board. Notre Dame also guides students if they wish to open a bank account and telephone and internet access. Once students are settled in, they are required to attend orientations and international student activities. Aside from these services, Notre Dame has a wide array of international student scholarships.

The annual undergraduate tuition fees are $24,714 for business courses, $24,714 for Arts/Education, and $37,071 for Engineering/Science.

Notre Dame offers a comprehensive scholarships program for undergraduate students. These scholarships are funded by the university, industry and non-profit organizations, which are available to potential and currently enrolled students. Students who have good academic performance can apply for academic merit scholarships which are available in different study areas such as arts and sciences, business, education, health sciences, law, medicine, nursing and physiotherapy.

Other scholarships on offer include government scholarships, fellowships, scholarships for aboriginal and Torres Strait islander students, international students, overseas scholarships, professional and regional scholarships.

Bernie and Mary Prindiville Scholarship
Total Worth Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500
Eligibility and Requirements To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must: a) Be a school leaver applicant; b) Be enrolled full time in an Undergraduate Degree in the School of Education, Fremantle; c) Be undertaking their studies internally; and d) Have achieved an ATAR of 90 or above. Scholarship Requirement includes - a) Scholarship recipients are required to submit mid-year and end of year reports to the donor, outlining their progress throughout the year. b) Reports should include academic results for the semester, an update regarding the circumstances which warrant the recipient to be in receipt of the Scholarship, and other relevant feedback. c) The Senior Development Officer, Office of University Relations, will notify the Scholarship recipients of the report submission due dates. d) Reports should be sent to the Senior Development Officer, Office of University Relations. e) Scholarship recipients are required to participate in any publications, media and events related to the award of the Scholarship.
Application Deadline No scholarship application form is required.
Other Details The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a commencing student in the School of Education at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle (University). Continuation Requirement includes - a) Maintaining satisfactory performance each semester; and b) Maintaining full time enrolment in the degree for which they were enrolled in when the Scholarship was offered. The recipient forfeits the Scholarship if they: a) Fail to meet the requirements in a) and b) above; b) Are found to have behaved in a manner that is in breach of the University’s Student Code of Conduct or is the subject of disciplinary action under the University’s General Regulations; c) Take a leave of absence; or d) Defer their enrolment for a period greater than 12 months.
Dianne Wansbrough Scholarship
Total Worth Tuition fee in the recipient’s first academic year only, up to a maximum of $7,500

Total Worth first year tuition fees, up to a maximum of $12,000
Eligibility and Requirements To be eligible for consideration, applicants must: a. Have graduated or be due to graduate from full time Year 12 studies at Chisholm Catholic College in the year immediately prior to the year in which the Scholarship commences; b. Be enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree at the Fremantle Campus of the University; and c. Be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to achieve academically, despite financial need or other personal difficulty.

Other Details The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a Year 12 student from Chisholm Catholic College who wishes to commence their undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. The Scholarship may support a student who wishes to study in any School at the University’s Fremantle Campus.
