The University of New England (UNE) is a public university in Australia with approximately 22,389 higher education students. Its original and main campus is located in the city of Armidale in northern central New South Wales. UNE was the first Australian university established outside a state capital city.

University of New England began with a small range of undergraduate programs designed to serve the local community in areas such as agriculture. Since then the program offering has expanded so local students who do not want to go to Sydney for university study or cannot for some reason have a better range of options.

Eligibility and Requirements an Australian Citizen or permanent resident as defined by the Commonwealth. Open to applicants who are completing Year 12 and gap year/s students who are commencing university study for the first time. An ATAR of at least 86.30 is required.
