Overview

The University of Canberra (UC) is a public research university with its main campus located in Bruce, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The campus is within walking distance of Belconnen Town Centre, and 8.7 km (5.4 mi) from Canberra’s Civic Centre. UC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering five faculties: Health, Art and Design, Business, Government and Law, Education, and Science and Technology.

UC partners with two local ACT schools: UC Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra and University of Canberra High School Kaleen. The University of Canberra College provides pathways into university for domestic and international students.

The University of Canberra has grown by 78% since 2007, going from 7,300 students to over 13,000 in 2014. As of 2023, there are 10,785 students enrolled. The median Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of UC students is approximately 71.

Canberra offers different pathway programs for students such as diplomas, UC connect, UC prep, UC start and UCan reach. Undergraduate students can take part in the University of Canberra student exchange program or study abroad which allows them to advance their academic studies while developing a greater understanding of different cultures.

MANTEENA SCHOLARSHIP FOR LEADERS IN CONSTRUCTION
Total Worth $5,000
Eligibility and Requirements Applicants must: be enrolled as full time students in their first year of the Building and Construction Management undergraduate degree at the University of Canberra; not be working within the Building and Construction industry at the time of application; and attach a copy of their C.V and 2 referee reports. Applicants will be selected for interview on the basis of a written statement which outlines: their interest in the scholarship which includes demonstrating how the scholarship will assist them achieve results; what they hope to achieve within the industry and why; and relevant work experience or projects they may have undertaken.

Other Details The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students with their studies in the Bachelor of Building & Construction Management, provide industry experience and links for the duration of their degree and create a basis to develop into a leader in the construction industry.
