TAFE NSW New England is located in the New England region of northern NSW, about 60kms inland and approximately four hours drive northwest of Sydney. It has over 20,000 students studying at 11 locations spread across the region and international students can study at two of these locations. It has campuses located in two locations namely Tamworth and Armidale. It has been registered as Technical and Further Education(TAFE) since 1999.
Tamworth offers a relaxing lifestyle in a rich, agriculturally fertile setting. The city is world-famous for its annual Country Music Festival, held every year in January when the population increases with thousands of visiting country music fans. The other major center in New England is Armidale, located about 110 km from Tamworth. Armidale is a stylish city and is the location of the highly respected New England University.
The courses offered in Tamworth include: Aged Care, Animal Care, Business, Community Services Work, Horticulture, Hospitality, and Information Technology. Likewise, the campus in Armidale offers courses which include: Agriculture, Business, Children’s Services, Film and Television, and Remedial Massage.
It requires a minimum IELTS score to be 5.5. These colleges also accept TOEFL as another language test.
