Oceania Polytechnic Institute of Education (OPIE) is a privately owned and operated Registered Training Organization (RTO). OPIE exhibits a history of 29 years by specializing in the fields of Fine Arts, Architecture, The Built Environment, and Design.
It was founded and registered under the Business Name Act (Victoria) in Melbourne in 1988 as Oceania Polytechnic by Professor Nicodemos Charalambous. School of Architecture was established in 1988 and began operating in 1989. In 1990 the School of Design, School of Drafting, and the School of Fine Arts were established, and 1992 saw the addition of the School of Planning. In 1996, the full business name became Oceanic Polytechnic Institute of Education Pty Ltd.
OPIE Melbourne Campus is located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. It’s just 10 minutes from city central (Flinders Street) and 15 minutes from St Kilda beaches. It is within walking distance of public transport, cafes, health clubs, student accommodations, etc.
OPIE offers an Advanced Diploma in Building Design and a Certificate Program in Solid Plastering as well as Building and Construction.
It requires international students to submit English Language Proficiency test results with a minimum of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent in other tests.
