Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) is a Registered Training Organization (RTO) since 2005; RTO Code: 40173. It is located at Parafield Airport, Adelaide, South Australia. The college started operations in 1982 and over the years has had a number of corporate owners, including Hawker de Havilland and BAE SYSTEMS. In 2005 the college was purchased by Hong Kong-based Young Brothers Aviation. FTA has been selected by UniSA (University of South Australia) as its partner to provide flight training for their Graduate Diploma of Aviation. It has also been registered by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver vocational education and training (VET) services.
FTA training in accordance with the AVI08 Aviation Training Package. The training programs it offers include a Diploma in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence Aeroplane), Diploma in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence Helicopter), Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating), Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor), and Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Pilot in Command).
